Boy Meets Girl...er...Woman

I’m sick of photoshop right now so I’m taking a break. Although, I travel quite frequently for work, I do have a roster of local clients from both advertising and modeling/talent agencies, so my schedule is quite hectic. Hell, hectic isn’t the word, but I’m not complaining…I am making a decent living. Ok, so let’s update, I’ve just gotten back from Toronto just days ago, currently, I’m working on scheduling a booking in Seattle, and I’m editing shots from a shoot from earlier this morning. “Eric” is on his way over, and honestly today of all days I’m wet with anticipation. I’m sorry, I’ve just got to put it out there – it’s been almost two weeks since I’ve been able to indulge in my one of my favorite snacks – Nutrageous! Outlandish much? Yes, I am! But I cannot stand it. The boy doesn’t give orgasms – he gives bladder infections…that’s really my final word (insert mischevious smile).

But, I am in fact, wondering just how much longer this little tryst can last. Because if I’m being honest, that’s exactly what it is. My life is just too hectic to ever provide time for anything but the slightest of romances. Yes, that’s what they are - romances. Harlequin in nature, short in life-span. Most men just can’t handle my schedule, but neither can I most of the time. But, Eric seems very patient – and quite persistent. And I have to be absurdly honest about something right here and right now. Eric is only 19. Okay, before you commence to judging me, just hear me out – well, actually I don’t quite care. Judge all you wish. Eric is quite young yes, but also quite mature and worldly for his age. Having grown up a military brat – he’s lived in more countries than I care to count, and for the most part has raised himself on military bases and become quite the citizen of the world.
He’s an art student, so we do have that aspect of our lives in common and actually that’s how we met; I was participating in a panel discussion for students interested in film noir. The discussion was quite drab, except for Eric and his hungry green eyes, piercing, yet, almost filled with rage. I’d come to later learn that that rage was really more like passion – intense passion. There’s more of a passion for life in this man than any of the models and studio heads I seem to run across on a daily basis. And so we co-exist on a similar plane. That’s all I can say about it. It’s quite nice and quite refreshing. This is also the first time I’m broadcasting our considerable age gap for the world to see and judge. Me, being 34 and soon-to-be 35. What can I say though? He’s hanging in there for the ride.
Not sure how long it’ll last. Some days are good, some are not so good – so we’ll just have to play it by ear. We’ll indulge as long as we can, or at least as long as my schedule permits and just enjoy the ride (literally)!
Cheers
K
